What this list covers

The table below includes every online casino we have reviewed for players resident in Iceland. It does not include sites that list Iceland as a restricted country, sites whose licence we could not trace in regulator or regulator-linked data, or sites with a clear pattern of unpaid withdrawals in the public complaint records.

Every entry is based on the casino's published terms and policies, its licence as reported, and independent reputation data from Casino Guru, AskGamblers, Trustpilot and similar services, together with user reports. We have not opened accounts, deposited or requested withdrawals ourselves, and each review says so. Where a casino has more than one brand under the same company, we review each brand separately, because terms and payment options often differ.

How the list is compiled

The process is the same for every casino.

1. Licence check. We record the licensing body, licence number and licence holder as reported, and check them against the regulator's register where it is accessible and against regulator-linked review data. If the licence cannot be traced at all, the casino is not listed; where sources disagree, the review says so.

2. Terms review. We read the general terms and the bonus terms in full where they can be accessed. We note the restricted countries, withdrawal limits, dormant account fees, maximum bet rules and any clause that lets the casino void winnings at its discretion. Where the official terms are geo-blocked, we use third-party mirrors and review data and say so.

3. Payment policies. We record the deposit and withdrawal methods, minimums, limits, fees and the payout times stated in the terms, and compare them with the payout times players report.

4. Bonus assessment. We record the welcome offer, the wagering multiple and its base, the maximum bet, win caps and expiry, and work through a numerical example in the review.

5. Reputation data. We record the Casino Guru safety index and complaint counts, AskGamblers ratings and complaints, and the Trustpilot score and review count, including where a profile has been removed.

6. Games, support and tools. We record the providers, live casino, published RTP, support channels and hours, and the responsible gambling tools the terms describe, and note what player reports say about support quality.

The criteria and their weight

A casino with serious unresolved concerns about player funds is not listed at all. A strong games library does not compensate for a record of withdrawals being withheld. Our methodology page sets out each criterion in detail.

How to read the table

• Licence shows the regulator as reported. Malta (MGA), the UK, Sweden, Denmark and Estonia are the stricter European regimes. Curaçao is the most common licence among casinos accepting Icelandic players and provides less protection.
• Payout time is the time stated in the casino's terms, checked against player reports. Where the two differ, the review says so. It covers the time from withdrawal request to money in the account, including any pending period.
• Min deposit is the lowest amount accepted for a first deposit. Casinos with €3 to €10 minimums are collected on the minimum deposit page.

What we do not do

We do not open accounts, deposit or withdraw at the casinos, and we do not present other people's experiences as our own. We do not test games or measure RTP ourselves; we rely on the figures published by the game providers and note whether the casino makes them visible. Reported payout times come from the terms and from player reports, and high-stakes players, whose withdrawals more often trigger additional checks, may see longer times.

What players in Iceland should weigh most

Two criteria matter more from Iceland than from, say, Germany or Sweden, where a domestic licence sets the rules. The first is the regulator, because it is the only authority you can complain to. A Malta-licensed casino is subject to the MGA's player support unit and to an alternative dispute resolution body; a Curaçao-licensed casino offers a complaints route that has improved since the 2024 reforms but remains less tested. The second is payment handling, since every deposit from an Icelandic bank crosses a currency boundary. Casinos that accept e-wallets and let you hold a euro balance save repeated conversion fees, and the review notes which do.

Currency support is worth a glance too. None of the casinos in the table offers ISK accounts, and none has an Icelandic-language interface; all of them run euro accounts, which is the sensible default. The payments page compares the methods available from Iceland in more detail.

Things that get a casino removed

A casino is removed from the list, or moved to the bottom with a warning, if any of the following happens:

• The licence lapses or is revoked.
• Iceland is added to the restricted countries list.
• The public complaint records show withdrawals refused without a clear reason grounded in the terms.
• Terms are changed retroactively to affect existing players.
• We receive repeated, credible reports of unpaid winnings.

A note on legality

None of the casinos listed is licensed in Iceland, because Iceland does not issue such licences. Icelandic law restricts gambling to a small number of domestic operators and is directed at those who organise gambling rather than at players. Playing at a foreign site is an unregulated activity, not a licensed one.
