Netspilavíti.is is funded by affiliate commissions from the casinos it lists. This page explains what that means, what it does not affect and how you can tell an affiliate link from any other link.
What an affiliate arrangement is
When you follow a link from this site to a casino and then register or deposit, the casino or its affiliate network pays Netspilavíti.is a commission. The commission may be a fixed amount per registered player, a share of the casino's revenue from that player over time, or a combination.
You pay nothing extra. The price of gambling at the casino, the bonus terms and the withdrawal rules are the same whether you arrive through our link or type the address yourself.
Which links are affiliate links
Links to casino websites from comparison tables, review pages, call-to-action boxes and "visit casino" buttons are affiliate links. Links to regulators, legislation, help organisations, payment providers and other official sources are not.
Affiliate links are marked in the page code with the attributes rel="sponsored" so that search engines and browsers can identify them.
What affiliate income does not affect
- Whether a casino is listed. Casinos are included or excluded on the criteria in the editorial policy. We list casinos with which we have no affiliate agreement where they meet those criteria, and we exclude casinos that offer an affiliate agreement but fail them.
- Ratings and rankings. Reviewers do not know commission rates. Ratings are based on the review criteria only, applied to the casino's terms, licence data and reputation records.
- What reviews and guides say. Operators do not see content before publication and cannot request changes.
- Warnings. Where a listed casino has terms or a complaints history that readers should know about, the review says so regardless of the commercial relationship.
What affiliate income does affect
It funds the site. Without it there would be no reviews, no guides and no maintenance. It also means we have an interest in readers registering at casinos, and readers should weigh that when reading anything on the site. We try to counter it by publishing our method, dating our pages, correcting errors publicly and telling readers plainly when a bonus or casino is not worth it.
Revenue share and player outcomes
Under a revenue-share arrangement, the site's income from a player is linked to that player's losses at the casino. We recognise this creates an incentive that runs against the reader's interest. Our response is the responsible gambling content across the site, the limits guidance in Safe online gambling, and a rule that no content may encourage readers to deposit more, chase losses or treat gambling as income.
No Icelandic licence
