Browser or app?

For players in Iceland the answer is almost always the browser. The reasons are practical rather than technical:

• Real-money casino apps are not listed in the Icelandic App Store or Google Play, because neither store distributes gambling apps in markets where the operator has no local licence. Iceland has no licensing regime for online casinos, so no casino qualifies.
• Casinos that offer Android apps do so as APK files downloaded from their own site, which requires you to allow installation from unknown sources. That is a security setting worth leaving off.
• The browser version is the version the casino tests and updates most. Games load from the provider's servers in either case, so there is no performance advantage to an app.
• A browser site cannot send push notifications unless you allow it, which makes it easier to keep gambling out of your pocket when you are not choosing to play.
