What free spins are worth: a worked example
Take a typical deposit offer: 100 free spins at €0.10 on a slot with 96 percent RTP, with winnings subject to 35x wagering.
Step 1: nominal value. 100 spins × €0.10 = €10 in stakes paid by the casino.
Step 2: expected winnings. €10 × 96 percent = €9.60. Because slots are volatile, the actual result of 100 spins will vary widely; anywhere from €2 to €40 would be unremarkable, and a much larger win is possible but unlikely.
Step 3: wagering. €9.60 in bonus funds at 35x requires €336 in bets before withdrawal. On the same 96 percent slot, the expected loss over €336 of bets is 4 percent, or €13.44.
