New online casinos for players in Iceland
New online casinos usually offer more generous welcome bonuses and newer software, but they have no track record on paying out. This list contains casinos launched in roughly the past year that we have tested with a real deposit and withdrawal.
What counts as new
For this page, a new casino is one that launched within roughly the past twelve to eighteen months, or one that has recently started accepting players from Iceland. A casino stays on this list until it has about two years of operating history, after which it moves to the main list on its ordinary score.

Advantages of new casinos
Better welcome offers. A new casino has to buy attention. Match bonuses with lower wagering, larger free spin packages and ongoing reload offers are more common in the first year than later, when the site has a customer base.
Modern platforms. New sites are built on current software, which tends to mean faster loading, a better mobile experience and support for newer payment methods, including open-banking transfers and, at some sites, cryptocurrency.
Newer games. New casinos often launch with a wide provider list because they negotiated content deals recently. You are more likely to find the latest releases from the larger studios.
Attentive support. A small, new operation with few players often responds faster on live chat than a large casino with a queue.
Disadvantages and risks
No payout history. The main risk. A casino that has been paying players for five years has a record; a six-month-old site does not. Complaints forums and dispute services have little or nothing on it yet.
Financial fragility. A new casino that fails to attract enough players may close. Reputable operators return balances when they close, but that is not guaranteed at every site.
Immature terms. Terms and conditions at new casinos are sometimes copied from other sites and contain contradictions or vague clauses. We have seen wagering requirements that differ between the promotion page and the terms page.
Payment teething problems. Withdrawals at a new site can be slower than advertised while the payment provider settles into a routine and while KYC staff are being trained.
Higher chance of being a short-lived brand. Some operators launch several brands a year and let the weaker ones fade. This is not necessarily bad for the player, but it makes long-term loyalty programmes less valuable.
How we vet new casinos before listing
We apply the same process as for any casino, with extra attention at three points.
Ownership. We identify the company behind the brand and check whether it runs other casinos. A new brand from a group with several established sites is treated differently from a new brand from a company registered last month. Both can be listed, but the review says which it is.
Licence verification. We confirm the licence on the regulator's register and check that the domain is actually covered. New casinos sometimes display a licence seal that belongs to a sister site.
Withdrawal test, early and twice. For new casinos we request a withdrawal within the first week, then a second one later. If either fails or takes more than ten working days without a clear reason, the casino is not listed. We also check whether identity verification was requested promptly rather than only at the point of withdrawal.
We then monitor listed new casinos more often than established ones, re-checking terms monthly for the first year.
Signs of a well-run new casino
Not every new casino is a gamble. The ones that score well in our reviews share a few characteristics that you can check without depositing:
- Terms that are specific. Withdrawal times given in hours or working days rather than "as fast as possible"; wagering rules that state the base and the maximum bet; a restricted countries list that is actually a list.
- A named parent company with a registered address, and a licence on a register that shows the domain.
- Verification requested at registration or first deposit, not only when you try to withdraw. Casinos that check identity early tend to pay without argument later.
- Published RTP in the game information panels.
- Responsible gambling tools that work: deposit limits that apply immediately, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion, all reachable from the account page rather than only through support.
- Live chat with people who can answer a question about the terms, not only paste a link.
None of this guarantees a good experience, but a new casino that fails several of these points has usually been set up in a hurry, and the withdrawal process tends to reflect that.
Checklist before you deposit at a new casino
- Find the licence number in the footer and look it up on the regulator's site. The domain you are on should be listed.
- Identify the owner from the terms and conditions. Search for the company name together with words such as "complaint" or "withdrawal".
- Read the restricted countries clause. Iceland must not be on it.
- Compare the bonus terms on the promotion page and in the full terms. If they differ, ask support which applies and keep the answer.
- Check withdrawal limits and fees. Some new sites have low weekly limits to manage cash flow.
- Deposit a small amount first, €20 to €50, and play.
- Complete verification straight away rather than waiting for a withdrawal to trigger it.
- Request a small withdrawal before you deposit more. Note how long it takes.
- Test support with a real question and see whether the answer is accurate.
- Set a deposit limit in the account settings before you increase your stakes.
New casinos and Icelandic players
New casinos aimed at the Nordic market frequently accept players from Iceland because Iceland has no licensing regime to comply with. That is convenient, but it also means the casino has no obligations to any Icelandic authority. The protections you have are those of the foreign regulator and the casino's own terms. Our laws page explains the position in Iceland, and the payments page covers which deposit methods work best from an Icelandic bank.
If the casino offers a welcome bonus, run the numbers with the bonus guide before accepting it. New casinos' bonuses are more generous on average, but the largest ones still tend to have the strictest terms.
Frequently asked questions
Are new online casinos safe?
Some are and some are not. A new casino run by an established company under a Malta or comparable licence is usually reliable from day one. A new casino with an unknown owner and a lightly regulated licence carries more risk, because there is no history of paying players. We only list new casinos where we completed a withdrawal ourselves.
Why do new casinos offer bigger bonuses?
They need players and have no reputation to draw on, so they spend more on promotion. Larger bonuses are often paired with higher wagering requirements, so compare the terms rather than the headline amount.
How do I know when a casino was launched?
The licence register usually shows the date the licence was granted for that domain. The casino's own "about" page may give a year. We record the launch date in each review as best we can establish it.
Should I use a new casino for large deposits?
We would suggest starting small. Deposit an amount you can afford to lose, play, and request a withdrawal early to see how the casino handles verification and payout. Increase your stakes only once you have been paid.
What is a "white label" casino?
A casino brand run on a platform and licence belonging to another company. Many new casinos are white labels. The platform provider handles payments and compliance, which can be reassuring if the provider is established, but it also means the brand itself has little independent history.
